Dolch Words Spelling ListsBelow are spelling lists comprised of Dolch words (also frequently referred to as "sight words"). The Dolch words are a list of 220 frequently used "service words" and 95 nouns identified by Edward William Dolch, PHD. The words are commonly referred to as "sight words" because many of them can not be sounded out phonetically and must be learned by sight. Dr. Dolch organized his service words into pre-primer, primer, grade 1, grade 2, grade 3 lists. Dolch organized his nouns all into a single list of 95.To use a spelling list below you need to import the downloaded list into SpellQuizzer. If you don't have SpellQuizzer you can click here to download the free 30 day trial. For instructions on how to download and import the following spelling lists into SpellQuizzer click here. Once you have imported the spelling list(s) you wish to use into SpellQuizzer simply click the "Quiz me on a list!" button on SpellQuizzer's main screen.
